I am so pleased to announce that I will be teaching three different workshops at The Edge Gallery in May! The first one will be Drawing and Composition. It will take place on Thursday, May 10th 4:00-7:00 at the gallery.
If you like to draw and want to strengthen your skills, this is the workshop for you! We will discuss how to use the Rule of Thirds, positive and negative space, and other Gestalt Principles to create strong compositions. We will be using three different media (pencil, charcoal, and ink) to learn about building texture and contrast in still-life drawing.
You will need to bring:
- Drawing Pencil Kit (or 2H, HB, 2B and 4B drawing pencils)
- General’s Compressed Charcoal 4-Pack: 2B, 4B, 6B (available at Michael’s)
- An apron or smock
All other materials will be provided.
You MUST register for the class in order to attend. To register, call Kelly at The Edge (810-629-9440) or stop by the gallery during their normal business hours:
I will also be teaching a Mixed Media and Collage class on May 19th and an Intro to Acrylics class May 22nd – info coming soon!
